DAVENPORT RADIO AMATEUR CLUB

MINUTES OF: 15 October 2ØØ7 MEETING

LOCATION: Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency

The meeting was called to order at 7Ø2 P.M. by President WAØGXC.

The Treasurer's Report was read and approved.

The Secretary's Report was read and approved.

WBØBBM gave an update on the 2007 Hamfest. Ticket sellers will be needed for the event. Forty tables have been sold so far. The layout of the room should be similar to that of previous years.

K9KCK reported that the ATV repeater still has some problems. WBØBBM added that a new receiver has been installed and is working well. The NASA satellite feed was working but has since gone out again.

WAØGXC noted that the 28/88 repeater is working well but the battery back-up system and controller each have some problems that will need to be looked at.

The club selected officers for 2008. Reelected were: WAØGXC, president; N9TPQ, vice president; WDØAMA, secretary; and WMØD, treasurer. Other board posts are: N9TPQ, Field Day Chair; WBØBBM, Hamfest Chair; WBØVQP, trustee. K9KCK and N9EZC each have one more year to serve on their 2-year board terms. NØBFJ and KCØOYK ran for the remaining board seat and the vote resulted in a tie. NØBFJ was declared the winner by a coin toss.

In other business, the club discussed the recent West Liberty Hamfest, and announced that the club’s annual dinner meeting will be December 7 at Club Mo-Kan in Davenport.
